چکیده

Abstract Metsähovi Geodetic Research Station (MGRS) of the National Land Survey Finland, has undergone a major upgrade. The first observations at MGRS were started in 1978. A decade-long reform began 2012, during which all systems renewed. This included Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) station, Laser Ranging (SLR) system, and dedicated geodetic Very Long Baseline Interferometer (VLBI) system. Furthermore, absolute gravimeter (AG) was upgraded, superconducting (SG) renewed, station infrastructure completely refurbished. When completed, will be one northernmost stations core network Observing (GGOS) International Association Geodesy (IAG). full suite co-located instrumentation, local networks facilities to connect various observing techniques (local ties). Together, form solid backbone for maintaining Terrestrial Reference Frame (ITRF) monitoring orientation Earth space producing information computing precise satellite orbits, including GNSS. stability their long consistent series measurements is paramount both global regional networks. We present recent developments introduce instrumentation that already contributes contribute future IAG services.

The effect of fire on vegetation diversity indices, a case study: Sirachal research station

Fire affects vegetation and changes plant succession. In this paper, the vegetation of Sirachal Research Station, which burned in the summer of 2014, was studied and compared with the unburnt areas, based on biodiversity indices. The research was implemented as a factorial experiment in a completely randomized design. First, on the basis of physiognomy, the area was divided into three parts: sh...

I am sitting in the beautiful westward-facing dining room at the Banff Centre, watching the sun set gloriously into the Rocky Mountains. Even with it all in front of me, it is still hard to grasp the reality that the mathematicians of W...
